Otherwise, are there any RAID options for FreeBSD, besides host/os independent solutions (which are too expensive)? actually, we use a host/os independent RAID from infortrend which is priced very reasonable. you can buy the controller alone and add the disks you like. see http://www.infortrend.com/ for more. hb
