ZFS has its own command set and management tools. There are a number of =
talks about production readiness of ZFS. I have never had issues with =
it, but my own personal experiences are not true of the world.=20

http://wiki.freebsd.org/ZFSQuickStartGuide

i avoid using the raw block devices, and use gpart and create a =
partition the size of the device, and then use the /dev/gpart/label =
devices.=20

see =
http://blogs.freebsdish.org/lulf/2008/12/16/setting-up-a-zfs-only-system/ =
for some ideas about gpart and this.
