Yes, that is one interesting "feature" of moinmoin which I couldn't cleanly disable in 1.5 (I haven't tried yet for 1.6). The problem is that the wiki is running behind a reverse proxy so it thinks all requests come from the same IP and triggers the surge protection quite often. The "fix" I applied for 1.5 was to delete the surge-log file every minute (not pretty but it works), but they moved it in 1.6 so the "fix" didn't work anymore. I have changed it so hopefully the problem should be dealt with now. At some point I will see if the option to disable surge protection actually works now... Thanks for the report. -- Simon L.
