I am having problems getting the kernel to boot directly from the FreeBsd 
partition.  I recently had a hard drive crash.  I decided to reinstall 
everything. First I made a DOS primary partition, and then I used fips to 
make a second partition for FreeBsd.  However, freeBsd will nolonger boot-up 
from the boot manager.  The only way I can get it to run is by using 
fbsdboot.exe.  If I use fbsdboot, everything works fine.  When I try to boot 
directly after powering-up, though, I get the prompt for options and which 
kernel to use, but as soon as it goes on it will immediately lock up ( with 
the cursor in the "|" position).  The only hardware difference between now 
and before all of this is that I installed a new hard drive controller.  
Other than that everything is the same.  As I said before, It will work if I 
start up dos first, so I don't have any reason to beleive that this is the 
problem anyway.

	I have tried putting all of the standard kernels (installation(s) and 
GENERIC) in /kernel, but the result is allways the same.  I also recompiled 
the GENERIC kernel, and installed it.  I haven't tried reconfiguring the 
Makefile yet, simply because I really don't have any idea where to go from 
here.

	If you would please give me some hints, or tell me what else you would 
need to know in order to help, I would appreciate it greatly.
