I believe the default block size for tar on FreeBSD is 20, as stated in 
the manpage. However, FreeBSD uses GNU tar, and I suspect Linux also uses 
GNU tar, so I would expect the default block size to be the same on both.

Outnumbered?  Maybe.  Outspoken?  Never!
