I'm trying the same and failing miserably no matter what I try. Simply getting pam_ldap to work is proving to be a challenge. In pam.conf, I have: login auth required pam_ldap.so debug When trying to log in, I get this in /var/log/messages: Mar 13 14:28:07 nine login: unable to dlopen(/usr/lib/pam_ldap.so) Mar 13 14:28:07 nine login: [dlerror: /usr/lib/pam_ldap.so: invalid file format] Mar 13 14:28:07 nine login: adding faulty module: /usr/lib/pam_ldap.so Mar 13 14:28:07 nine login: auth_pam: Module is unknown If I should be providing more status information about my configurations files and such, please let me know.
