I have experienced this with py-MySQLdb-0.9.0 and python-2.1 running on FreeBSD-i386 4.2-RELEASE with security patches. The specific error message is: python in free(): warning: pointer to wrong page. The only thing I can point to is that python-2.1 has been built with support for threads but I'm not sure whether the MySQL client library is built thread-safe. Is this a likely cause?
