I too am experiencing this on a SuperMicro server chassis using IPMI to
remotely mount an ISO image (The IPMI interface uses USB to interface
for drive mounts, keyboard and mouse) I found that using a FreeBSD-8
boot only CD worked however: 8.0-CURRENT-200803-i386-bootonly.iso - I
found this while searching Google, not sure the exact location. Booting
that CD then changing the distribution to install FreeBSD7-Release
allowed me to install properly. I hope this gets addressed soon!
