However, when I browsed the categories of ports, my favorite tv-watching application "zapping" (zapping.soureforge.net) is not listed here. Therefore, I just want to know if this application cannot be ported or if just nobody has tried yet. (Sorry, I would help, but I installed my first linux system 3 weeks ago, so I don't have the abilities - yet :-). And is it possible with FreeBSD to install this program normally (probably with ./configure, make, make install) if I have the *.tar.gz sources?
