Hi,

Ok, the bt848 driver in 2.2.8 is really really outdated now.
It does not support bt878 chips and Hauppauge switched to bt878s around
May 1998.

Anyway, I've updated my FTP/WEB Site with a 2.2.8 friendly version of
the driver.
Have a look at
http://telepresence.dmem.strath.ac.uk/bt848

It has links into my FTP site for the 2.2.8 friendly driver and also the
2.2.5/2.2.6/2.2.7 driver.

Many thanks to John Baldwin <jobaldwi@vt.edu> who first pointed out the
patch required for 2.2.8.
