For things like this, I think we really, really should have the source
code in the port itself.  This way we can do a repository copy of the
originals to ports/net/tn3270/files/.  Doing so would also let others
make modifications to the sources just like when they lived in src/.

If this is overly objected to, then maybe we need to create opt/ or some
other place to move things out of src/

Patches for our own source code (esp. that which used to live in src/) is
IMHO ridiculous.
