What is your mail program? I know on the system we use (which is IMAP), I have to manually purge the messages and then compress my folders to re-gain the space. You could also look into archiving some old logs. /var is on it's own partition I assume? --Brian -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org] On Behalf Of Tom and Becky Foltz Sent: Monday, April 21, 2003 10:43 PM To: questions@freebsd.org Subject: Out of disk space..how to free We are using Webmin for our email server and we have been receiving the following message:At boot up: File system full After boot up: low on space (have 0,SMTP - DAEMON needs 01 i /var/spool/mqueue I'm unfamiliar with FreeBSD, but I've worked with Linux in the past. How do I free up some space? I've already deleted about 5000 email messages and rebooted the server (FreeBSD 4.0) about 4 times with the same messages. Got any ideas and directions? Thanks,Tom _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscribe@freebsd.org"
