You almost certainly have a cabling or termination problem.  The parity
errors are a very good indication of that.

You should probably have the termination set to 'automatic', or high on,
low off, and of course make sure that both ends of the bus are terminated.

If that doesn't work, I would try replacing the cables, checking for bent
pins on various connectors, etc.  Also, you might try moving the cables
away from the power supply.
