Hiyall! I'm trying to install 4.1.1-release onto a 6gb ATA disk (LBA geometry 776/240/63) I fips'd a 1.8gb slice (ad0s3) from windows, used the sysinstall fdisk to set it to type 165, and tried to put a 100mb / partition on it. But sysinstall's disklabel sez: "This region cannot be used for your root partitions as the FreeBSD boot code cannot deal with a root partition created in that location. Please choose another location or smaller size for your root partition and try again". What's going on here?? I've found similar questions in the -questions archive but no answers.
