My commit message is about 675 bytes "too long" -- 531KB, not 680KB.

1. you've forgotten *.295 will totally disappear soon (as in not even in
the Attic, totally gone as if it never, ever existed).

2. in general people seem to not care about repo bloat anymore -- not
when disk sizes are what they are.
