The following reply was made to PR amd64/106697; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Stephen J. Roznowski" <sjr@comcast.net> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Cc: re-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: amd64/106697: amd64 "make release" wants to build SMP kernel Date: Tue, 19 Dec 2006 13:47:27 -0500 (EST) This report can be closed... It appears to be "user error". I had an old version of the SMP file lying around that the system was finding. Additionally, I was able to successfully build using: # make release RELEASETAG=RELENG_6_2 My CVS repository is using the "RELENG_6" flag, not sure if that is what was causing the (original) building problem. Thanks, -SR -- Stephen J. Roznowski (sjr@comcast.net)
