After doing so my drive has been renumbered and I get an 'initial' error on the Promise ATA100 card. I don't believe I commented out anything in the kernel that would generate this problem. I've included the lines from the GENERIC and my KERNEL along with the dmesg from the GENERIC boot and the new kernel boot. What is 'ign0' (in GENERIC but not edited kernel dmesg)? The Promise ATA100 shows up as atapci0 in GENERIC but atapci1 in the new one. Thanks in advance.
