I'm having difficulty reading vmcore images with gdb (either the
system version or the port).

(gdb) gohan10# gdb /a/kernel.debug /a/vmcore.0

"/a/vmcore.0" is not a core dump: File format not recognized

I have a lovely collection of panics from the bento cluster over the
last 12 hours, but no way to get tracebacks.
