The argument for mkdir is simple; orthagonality. > In 12 more hours I intend to revert the code on mkdir unless he steps > forward and at least makes a comment. That would be a very poor move. Commit wars are generally frowned upon, especially when the new functionality has other supporters. You most certainly don't have a mandate for a personal-agenda backout. > If he does not make a comment I have to assume he is not reading > commit mail and intend to ask that his commit access be suspended, > as that has never been allowed. (Is this in the rules yet??) Actually, I think Mike is doing the smart thing and hoping that you'll just go away. He doesn't need or want to get embroiled in a long and pointless argument over another bus shelter. If you want to talk constructively about the implementation of the option, I'd suggest you get in touch with Martin Cracauer and sort it out between yourselves, as he did have some valid points there. -- \\ The mind's the standard \\ Mike Smith \\ of the man. \\ msmith@freebsd.org \\ -- Joseph Merrick \\ msmith@cdrom.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
