Warren Block and freebsd-questions:

1. My domain is hosted by he.net.

2. Not all mail from he.net is spam.

Which demonstrates that Xfce on FreeBSD is program, not programming
systems product.

# cat
/usr/local/etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/org.freedesktop.consolekit.pkla

[Restart]
Identity=unix-group:dpchrist
Action=org.freedesktop.consolekit.system.restart
ResultAny=yes
ResultInactive=yes
ResultActive=yes

[Shutdown]
Identity=unix-group:dpchrist
Action=org.freedesktop.consolekit.system.stop
ResultAny=yes
ResultInactive=yes
ResultActive=yes

My first attempt was with "Identity=unix-group:operator".

If I add Shutdown and Restart action buttons to the Xfce panel, both are
grayed out and inoperative.

It's time for me to start researching another approach.
