Most things are now working, but I only get network connection with kernel.GENERIC, and not my own RAPTOR kernel. This is the same config file that I've been using for weeks, and I believe a couple of other thinkpad owners are using it. It's not just the external network that's a problem; netscape and vmware both have problems, too. vmware reports: fac13ttyp1:hawk>vm [3] 496 fac13ttyp1:hawk>Setting TMPDIR=/var/tmp. XIO: fatal IO error 9 (Bad file descriptor) on X server ":0.0" after 1794 requests (1793 known processed) with 0 events remaining. [3] Exit 1 vmware ~/.vmware/vmdeb/linux.cfg -iconic while netscape comes up, flashes on the screen, and goes away without any messages. after booting with -v dmesg, I gett the following (but have no idea what it means :) Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project.
