When I whished to send a mail yesterday postfix wouldn't. So I checked the
domain and didn't get what I expected. Thus I verified using the NS of an
ISP and lo and behold, that one could find the true data.

These boxes have been running quite satisfactorily for over a year and then
some. But 4.6 for not even a month, so I got thinking ;).

It is pretty darn sure that the ISP does not run 4.6 if FreeBSD at all, I
haven't had this error in a long time, so could there be a link?

Pretty darned straightforward named.conf with a sandbox and no forwarders.

nslookup gives the informative "Non-existent host/domain" error message.

With the former being one of the 4.6 culprits and the latter the white
dove amongst the NS lot.

Please tell me it's a simple thing and what specifically.

Pretty please?
