IMO, we should >not expect every user always mount with correct mount-option. If I think they aren't useful except for debugging. Having 2 ways to control clustering is 2 too many for a production system :-) (non-clustering for /dev/vn must be forced independently of any mount options and sysctls, except possibly for debugging).
