Hello! I finally got around to doing some FAQ work. I added some new sections, pointed some others to the Handbook, and some cleanup. You can pick up the archive at ftp://gdi.uoregon.edu/pub/FAQ-980511.tar.gz. Could I get someone to commit it? Hopefully I didn't break it too badly :) Log: Updated FAQ. Added some new, removed info redundant with Handbook and existing tutorials. And FINALLY added perhaps the biggest FAQ FreeBSD has ever seen -- how to reset the root password! How that got left out over the years I have no idea. preface.sgml: Changed maintainer to FAQ@FreeBSD.org. Added ``The Complete FreeBSD'' to the book list. install.sgml: Added my boilerplace filelist to Q 2.1, "What files to download..." Added new question regarding removing an IDE ZIP to get the boot floppy to go beyond the `Probing Devices...' dialog. hardware.sgml: Changed Q's 3.2, 3.16, and 3.18 to point to the appropriate Handbook section(s). Mentioned -CURRENT's vpo driver in reference to parallel Zips in Q 3.5. troubleshoot.sgml: Mentioned that a disk with bad blocks and sector remapping on is probably due for replacement. Added a note to Q 4.5 that some NE2000 cards report timeouts when there is no link on the UTP port. kernel.sgml: Pointed Q 4.1 to Handbook section on kernel building. admin.sgml: Pointed Q 8.3 at diskformat tutorial. Finally-Goaded-By: Spike Gronim <spork@cncn.com> Added question regarding how to reset lost root password. Blatantly-Suggested-By: Ruslan Ermilov <ru@ucb.crimea.ua> Added question regarding how to disable Ctrl-Alt-Del. network.sgml: Rewrote Q 10.15 to reflect reality. Added Dayna to list in Q 10.16. I'll add Adaptec once I'm sure it works. Added note about setting firewall_type='open' in Q 10.18.
