mgetty has the dialout port open. slattach needs a wrapper (i wrote a
Perl one) that creates proper lock files, when used concurrently with
mgetty. Since slattach can fork several times, i made my Perl wrapper
spawning a ``lock daemon'', an idle process just to provide for a
valid PID to be entered in the lock file.

Everything is a crock, but mostly works. One day i will get a real
modem and rm mgetty in favour of the regular getty. :)
