/etc/make.conf should be changed to specify that boot.conf 
should be in /boot, not / ... at least the loader complains about it.

Also, it complained "boot bad format", which I presume was the
boot.conf file, which stated "/boot/loader".

Is the ELF Kernel still in an experimental stage?  If not, why doesn't
the system default to using an ELF kernel?   Just curious...
