I used a lot of MUA in my life (elm, PROFS -from IBM-, Thunderbird, Lotus Notes, Mail.app -from Apple-) and the best and more efficent is for me the stone aged mutt. It's hard to change, the progress line is not easy, the configuration file take months to be "like you want" but once it's done… Whaou.
