I could not install FreeBSD 4.6 with my cdrom, I got: acd0: PREVENT_ALLOW command timeout - resetting ata1: resetting devices .. acd0: removed from configuration So I installed 4.5 and updated to 4.6 by cvsup. When I start /stand/sysinstall I got the same messages and sysinstall hangs. During boot I see the following messages : /kernel: acd0: unknown transfer phase 1 /kernel: acd0: CDROM at ata1-master PIO4 What can I do ?
