If the dual-GPU machine is labeled as Optimus, Nvidia card has no chance of working with any version of FreeBSD right now. There should be no video outputs on Nvidia chip at all, which only performs rendering into the main memory to be displayed by embedded GPU pipeline. On-CPU GPU should typically work, for some definition of 'work', but indeed requires recent stable or head for kernel bits, and recent ports compiled with right options for usermode bits. --kMq8/NSS8I8woZ17 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (FreeBSD) iEYEARECAAYFAk/xbMwACgkQC3+MBN1Mb4j3NgCfXEj9o30Pnhf3eroiVI2k14dV A1EAnA+nkDgVE/dJhOwYbPJM5RkplBEj =NO44 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --kMq8/NSS8I8woZ17--
