   As a response to both the original complaint and yourself,
I've installed Windows 95 from floppies.  Combine the 'media
errors' with the 'put in disk 1, 3, 7, and jump on the area in
your lawn with the most dense grass' and it tends to give the
installer a headache.

   You're much better off installing it off the CD, or via FTP
(or even via NFS)!

It is easier to change the specification to fit the program than vice versa.
