System: FreeBSD big-thought.home.loc 5.3-STABLE FreeBSD 5.3-STABLE #1: Tue Dec 14 18:20:59 CET 2004 wcp@big-thought.home.loc:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/TYAN-TIGER-MP i386

>Description:
On a Tyan Tiger MP (S2460, BIOS v1.05) shutdown -p goes
through the usual procedure but when it comes to turn the
power off, only the video switches off; SCSI disks and fans
are kept running and the SCSI bus lights are steady on as if
during POST. In that status the computer stays frozen without
reacting even to the power button.

	Below the boot log:

(In case you are worrying about the "overriding DSDT/SSDT with
custom table" message, please note that the problem is the
same with the original DSDT. The new DSDT just fixes a couple
	of undefined references.)

>How-To-Repeat:
shutdown -p on a Tyan Tiger MP (S2460) with two Athlon processors

>Fix:

No one known. To power off the machine you must first press
	the reset button.
