y Re-reading my post, I've given very little details and I sound pretty silly, so here's a bit more to go on: What it looks like, is that if the power cable is connected or disconnected twice, while a PCMCIA card is in the slot (either my TDK DF2814 or my 3Com 3c589B) the kernal locks up. But only the second time, not the first. This means that if I plug in the cable, unpluging it will lock the kernel, but if I unplug the cable first, plugging it back in will lock the kernel. I'm running with the PAO-970616 with 2.2.2-R. Thanks! Ben.
