KDE is becoming pretty popular, and there are plenty of holdouts for fvwm. Have a look at http://www.plig.org/xwinman/ this lists most of the X Windows managers and has some comparisions... My personal favourite is Afterstep 1.4.5... Which isn't as far as I know in the packages or ports.. I just recompiled it...
