I am having some trouble installing FreeBSD on a Compaq Proliant 6500 Server. I have four hard disks but it only recognizes two. Under linux there is not problem. All drives are recognized. I really wanted to use multiple drives to balance the load of the various applications I want to run. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated Best regards, Paul Maurice ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Dillon To: Paul-Maurice Cc: Sent: Thursday, July 27, 2000 10:15 AM Subject: Re: Symbios 53C875j > On Thu, 27 Jul 2000, Paul-Maurice wrote: > > > Hello All > > Has someone successfully installed a > > Symbios 53C875j controller on FreeBSD 4.0 ? > > Any sufficiently standard 53C875 board should work just fine.
