Some of shells might be built for win95.  

Adapting Win95 to be more Unixy might be more work than it's worth to find
someone's unix box to play with.  X is not unlike Win95 with windows and
such.  With the proper window manager (fvwm) you can get your
minimize/maximize and control menu back.  The other thing is: put your
pointer in the window you want to type in :)
