You can have Mailman use a non-local SMTP server by adjusting the Mailman/mm_cfg.py file (see Defaults.py), but it's somewhat annoying to do this as you will have to copy over the list aliases onto the mailserver, rather than having the newlist command do so automagically for you. I suppose you could do the same for a non-local webserver, but that would be even more difficult: you'd almost have to set up filesharing between the two machines so that the list archives and the various Mailman web resources are available on the webserver. If you've already got a webserver somewhere that you'd want to use, you'd be better off running Mailman on there.... -- -Chuck
