Possibly.  Check where you have your make.  The one you need is
probably /usr/bin/make.  The 'wh' script that I used (a variation on
the standard utility 'which') is:

# wh: which which works (goes via PATH variable)

tmpfile=/tmp/`basename $0`.$$
(for j in $*; do
  for i in `echo $PATH|sed 's/:/ /g'`; do
    if [ -f $i/$j ]; then
      echo $i/$j

# GNU ls treats -lf and -fl differently
  xargs <$tmpfile ls -fl
  echo No files found
rm $tmpfile
