Is it going on after it waits for the SCSI > devices to settle or hanging there? > Thanks a lot for your support, here goes what happens: My host scsi adapter id is 7 My hard disk scsi id is 0 (Quantum Viking II) ahc0 rev 1 int a irq 11 on pci0:11:0 ahc0: aic7880 Wide Channel, SCSI id=7, 16 SCBs ahc0 waiting for scsi devices to settle ahc0: board is not responding (ahc0:0:0) SCB 0x0 - timed out while idle, ...... .... ... ... ... (ahc0:0:1).... ... ... What is going on? Does 2.2.7 support adaptec 2940 ?
