The user manual states that it is a USB mass storage device and is supported natively by MacOS 9/10 (though it also indicates that a driver _is_ required for M$ XP - which supports USB mass storage natively). I expected it would therefore "just work" with FreeBSD (my Sony Cybershot does) which would allow him to access the camera via his FreeBSD box rather than having to upgrade his M$ Neanderthal Technology box. Unfortunately, FreeBSD (4.6-STABLE from mid August) states: Nov 19 07:46:02 gsmx07 /kernel: uhub0: device problem, disabling port 1 and "usbdevs -v" just says "port 1 enabled" - nothing about it actually finding a USB device. This system does work with a Sony Cybershot. Does anyone have any ideas? Peter To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
