I have followed all the instructions on setting up a local printer on the parallel port in the FreeBSD handbook. When I try to print using the command lpr testlp it gives me the following error lpr: connect:No such file or directory jobs queued, but cannot start daemon I have checked all the files and they all seem to exist with the right permissions. It does spool the file to the right directory, but it does not print. When I send the testlp directly to the printer cat testlp > /dev/lpt0 everything works fine. How can I solve this problem?
