Dear folks,

I have encountered the following:

===>  Building package for gcc-4.7.3_1
Creating package /usr/ports/lang/gcc/work/pkg/gcc-4.7.3_1.tbz
Registering depends: binutils-2.24 libiconv-1.14_3 gettext-0.18.3.1
gcc-ecj-4.5 mpfr-3.1.2_2 gmp-5.1.3_2 mpc-1.0.2.
Registering conflicts: gcc47*.
Creating bzip'd tar ball in '/usr/ports/lang/gcc/work/pkg/gcc-4.7.3_1.tbz'
===>  Installing for gcc-4.7.3_1
===> Checking if lang/gcc already installed
===>   gcc-4.7.3_1 is already installed
      You may wish to ``make deinstall'' and install this port again
      by ``make reinstall'' to upgrade it properly.
      If you really wish to overwrite the old port of lang/gcc
      without deleting it first, set the variable "FORCE_PKG_REGISTER"
      in your environment or the "make install" command line.
*** [check-already-installed] Error code 1

Stop in /usr/ports/lang/gcc.

I have had to go to say
cd /usr/ports/lang/gcc
make deinstall

then run the portmaster again to see if the program installed or not?

Is there a way to make sure that I avoid these situations? Thanks in Advance.

Best Regards,

Antonio
