is there a way to reprobe a scsi bus that currently doesn't have any
drices recognized by FreeBSD? i.e. you start up FreeBSD without any
devices attached or your unplug one... then FreeBSD doesn't have any
devices related to the scsi bus... and then you want to add something
like a cdrom drive?

I know about the command "scsi -f device -p" but it requires a device?
is there a way without a device?

John-Mark
