Hello,

I am trying to set up an older IBM laptop as a wireless access point.
FreeBSD 10.1 (amd64) correctly identifies the wireless card:

iwn0@pci0:3:0:0:        class=0x028000 card=0x11118086 chip=0x42308086
rev=0x61 hdr=0x00
    vendor     = 'Intel Corporation'
    device = 'PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network Connection'
    class      = network

In trying to set it up with hostap, I get the following error:

root@beastie> ifconfig wlan0 create wlandev iwn0 wlanmode hostap bssid
authmode open ssid bsdwifi
ifconfig: SIOCIFCREATE2: Operation not supported

Is there some method of configuring iwn so that it can function as an
access point?

Thanks,

Anders
