Obviously,

Answer: It's the thing that breaks your ability to log into a Unix system
from an inferior one and causes you to fiddle around in the registry to get
that ability back. And of course doing that is "not supported" and "not
guaranteed to work", so if you hose yourself, tough. This is just Microsoft's
way of telling you you should get out more. 8-)
