Yeah.  There is no PD code for NFS locking (yet -- it's close).

Yeah, there's a Compaq card that handles it transparently.  8-).

Doing RAID in the kernel without your own sequencer code (possible on
the Adaptec and NCR controllers, but not written) is insane.  The
overhead would render it nearly unusable.  Scratch that, since if
you are running anything less than a P90, "nearly" is the wrong
adjective.
