I suggest you look at the "For Newbies" in the sidebar at the FreeBSD web site, plus look at the http://www.vmunix.com/fbsd-book/ for more information. I would suggest you opt for a loading FreeBSD into part of your disk, and keeping w98 to use as you see fit, including playing games.
