From: Nate Eldredge To: Nate Eldredge Cc: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, neldredge@ucsd.edu Subject: Re: kern/117421: System hang with failing SATA disk (SiI3114) Date: Tue, 30 Oct 2007 18:07:05 -0700 (PDT) Tried some more things. I added a bunch of printf statements in the ATA code to try and see where it crashed. It died in the *middle* of a printf in ata_sii_reset (i.e. it only printed part of the message). Then I added some printfs to some of the interrupt handling functions (sata_interrupt, sata_generic_intr, etc) and it didn't crash anymore. So I guess that something is timing dependent. Any ideas? -- Nate Eldredge neldredge@math.ucsd.edu
