--- Comment #9 from Renato Botelho <garga@FreeBSD.org> ---
libtool: link: (cd ".libs" && rm -f "libxcb-render-util.so" && ln -s
"libxcb-render-util.so.0.0.0" "libxcb-render-util.so")
libtool: link: (cd ".libs" && rm -f "libxcb-render-util.so" && ln -s
"libxcb-render-util.so.0.0.0" "libxcb-render-util.so")

There 2 above lines from your first message show libtool creating the .so
symlink twice instead of the expected, which is to create a .so and a .so.0=
, as
it happens on my build tests:

libtool: link: (cd ".libs" && rm -f "libxcb-render-util.so.0" && ln -s
"libxcb-render-util.so.0.0.0" "libxcb-render-util.so.0")
libtool: link: (cd ".libs" && rm -f "libxcb-render-util.so" && ln -s
"libxcb-render-util.so.0.0.0" "libxcb-render-util.so")

I'd guess you probably have a broken libtool on your system. Have you tried=
 to
reinstall it?
