Bob Silva FreeBSD's logging is handled by the system log daemon (syslogd). The config file for this daemon is /etc/syslog.conf, and with the proper tweaks, you'll be able to configure your logging to the granularity you desire. man 8 syslogd -and- man 5 syslog.conf will give you plenty of information.
