The following reply was made to PR kern/91631; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Henri Hennebert <hlh@ciger.be> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, hlh@ciger.be Cc: jroberson@chesapeake.net Subject: Re: kern/91631: 6.0-RELEASE freeze repetitively Date: Wed, 01 Feb 2006 14:41:28 +0100 I discover that the freeze happen when vnodes from the /var filesystem (da1s1h) are in the Locked vnodes. This is the only filesystem with quota. I disable quota in /etc/rc.conf.local and remove userquota from the /var line in /etc/fstab. The kernel config still contains 'options QUOTA'. the system is up for 11 days now and all seems OK I really think that this quota deadlock must be part of the errata of 6.0. I lost all december and a part of january chasing this problem... Henri
